Some One To Love You

As It's getting near to Valentines day and I wanted to post some samples, I thought I would choose a set that at least had love in the title.

Easy so far, then I realised that being the cynic I am my humour tends to be on the dark side, (there's a reason I'm still single!

But what the heck, here are the samples anyway, although they do strike a bit close to home, (I'm happy to say that I'm  mouldering into mature eccentricity to the embarrassment of my younger relatives,) they are not in the least autobiographical.

Yes my eyebrows are getting longer, ditto my eyesight and gravity is getting more tenacious, can I hear any violins playing yet? It was my birthday last week and I'm feeling it!

Thinking of Valentines day brings back a really nice memory. I was in America at the CHA show, it must be about 10 years ago now and I was on a stand placing an order and chatting to the sales lady. She was pointing out all the valentines items and I made a passing comment that I wasn't really into it and had never had a Valentines card. Thinking nothing  more of it, I came home got on with running the business, and just before Valentines day a card arrived and it was a Valentines card from the owner of the stand who had overheard my conversation with his sale lady. It was a lovely card and a wonderful gesture that I still remember to this day. Maybe I'm not such a cynic after all.

  1. Aw, wasn't that sweet of him. I never had a valentine card either until I met my hubby and I was 40, mind you I have to keep reminding him every year, and now that I make cards he thinks I should make my own and he could give it to me. Some how he is missing the point. These are great stamps and I think there is nothing wron with your humour, have a great day, Kate x

    1. I think he might need a little more training, or a few hints about how much you like chocolates or how flowers will brighten any room! It was a lovely gesture and always makes me smile when I recall it. He was a real old school gentleman. Glad you like the cards, I'll try to get some more up on a regular basis. I've just designed 4 new boards for the show at 5 Lakes and I'm working on another set of cards for a magazine, so I'm a bit burnt out!
